18 Nov MON: The Gateway of India and Taj Mahal Palace at Night

4 hours after our 'High Tea' we were both still feeling very full and lethargic so decided to take a stroll down to the Gateway of India and back

 Both the monument and the Taj Mahal Palace hotel were lit up so we took a few more photos and then ended the evening with one shared beer back at our hotel

 I think that's the Gateway 'done to death' now so no more photos after these ....

    Its a very 'gracious' old fashioned hotel with wonderful sweeping staircases inside and in a prime location. David found that the BBC series 'Hotel India' is available on YouTube so we might re-watch it.

    We're back home now Di. Absolutely shattered so just chilling today ... literally (its 30 degrees cooler here than Mumbai)!
